dr hab. Teresa Piech – baroque violin

Teresa Piech studied violin and baroque violin at the Academy of Music in Krakow and the Sweelinck Conservatorium in Amsterdam, and she has taken part in many workshops and masterclasses.
As a soloist and chamber musician, she gives concerts with many early music ensembles. She is a co-founder of the Harmonia Sacra ensemble. She played with the European Union Baroque Orchestra, has cooperated with many outstanding musicians, e.g. Lars Ulrik Mortensen, Roy Goodman and Joshua Rifkin. She is a vice-president of Polish Early Music Society and a member of the Hans Hummel Organ Society in Olkusz.
Since 2012, she has been a baroque violin lecturer at the Academy of Music in Krakow, and she defended her PhD in 2013. She plays a violin made in 1668 by Antonio Mariani from Pesaro.
