Programme

We are honored to invite you to the Staff Week Event, which will be hosted for the third time by Bursa Uludağ University at the main campus in Bursa, the capital of history and culture, from October 12-15, 2026. The University, located in Bursa, comprises 15 Faculties, 2 Vocational Schools, 15 Vocational High Schools, 1 Conservatory, 4 Institutes, 27 Application and Research Centers, and 1 Research Center.

Applications for the event, which will be accepted from June 15 to August 28, 2026, will be limited to 20 participants to facilitate the sharing of experiences and ensure more effective communication with academic and administrative staff. Special attention will be given to international diversity to ensure the event is productive for all participants, and applications will be evaluated with this criterion as a priority. We aim to conduct the event with a limited number of participants from each university to promote collaboration with partner universities through the resulting diversity.

The purpose of this event is to get to know you, our valuable participant universities, and colleagues closely, and to enable our university students to make more informed choices regarding their learning mobility by meeting you. In addition to presentations and fair activities, the event will include faculty and department visits, social events and tour of the city and will conclude with training and teaching sessions.

SOUND HORIZONS: Film Music as a Universal Language
Study and Performance of Three Film Suites by Franco Piersanti and the Requiem Marino for Violin and Orchestra

The Conservatorio Statale di Musica „Gaetano Braga” of Teramo is pleased to announce its intention to organize an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) dedicated to the work of Maestro Franco Piersanti, one of Italy’s most distinguished contemporary composers and the author of some of the most acclaimed film scores in Italian and European cinema.

The programme will focus on the study, rehearsal, and performance of:
• Three orchestral suites selected from Franco Piersanti’s film music repertoire;
• The Requiem Marino for violin and orchestra by Franco Piersanti , a powerful and moving composition dedicated to the memory of those who lost their lives at sea during migration journeys.

The project will offer students from partner institutions a unique international learning experience based on orchestral practice, intercultural dialogue, artistic collaboration, and the exploration of contemporary repertoire.
A particularly valuable aspect of the programme will be the participation of Maestro Franco Piersanti himself, who will meet the students during the on-site mobility period in Teramo, sharing insights into his artistic journey, creative process, and experience as a composer for cinema and concert music.

The on-site programme will include sectional rehearsals, full orchestra rehearsals, workshops, cultural activities and a final public concert.

Academic Recognition
Participants will be awarded a minimum of 3 ECTS credits upon successful completion of the programme.

Physical mobility: : January 4 to 9, 2027, in Paris and Boulogne-Billancourt, including two concerts. Arrival in Paris on January 4, 2027, departure from Paris on January 10, 2027

Application deadline: June 30th, 2026
The organizers expect to receive feedback on the general interest in the project before March 31st, 2026.

The idea of the project is to bring together one string quartet (vl1, vL2, vla, vlc) from each higher education institution, in France and in European partner institutions. The combined quartets will form a unique string ensemble for one week in Paris, to work together on a concert program.

Artistic Director: Xavier Gagnepain

Preliminary program:
• Anton Webern: Langsamer Satz
• Ludwig van Beethoven: Quartet No. 11, Op. 95 (orchestrated by Gustav Mahler)
• A contemporary piece, possibly with a soloist, to be confirmed

A meeting with a representative of the professional music area will be scheduled during the session, on January 7, 2027
One or more online meetings (virtual module) will be organized to prepare for the in-person sessions

The main language of instruction will be English. French will also be used as a second language.

Brass Academy: Connecting East to West Europe

The BIP aims to explore arrangement of brass ensemble repertoire in a combo setting as well as provide a career intensive session by leading professionals, fostering creativity, improvisation, and collaboration. Participants will develop a deeper understanding of brass ensemble playing and repertoire, enhance their performance skills and engage in intercultural musical exchange. The programme encourages students to explore new collaboration techniques, knowledge of new national repertoires for brass instruments, particularly those of the three countries involved and focus on their career goals.

This intensive week-long program offers, after an initial online session, in-person sessions, bringing together students and faculty from different musical backgrounds. Through masterclasses, ensemble work, career sessions, participants will develop arrangements playing in a brass ensemble. The week culminates in a collaborative performance, showcasing innovative musical interpretations and live concert.
The programme combines lectures, masterclasses, ensemble coaching, and live concerts. The online session provides foundational knowledge, while in-person activities focus on hands-on learning, collaborating and performances. Peer feedback and mentorship enhance artistic growth.

Participants will gain a deeper understanding of brass ensemble repertorie ant teaching skills, improve their personal technique on solo and ensemble repertoire, set career goals, and explore innovative executive techniques. They will develop confidence in collaboration, expand their professional network, and showcase their progress in a final performance.
