dr hab. Irena Czubek-Davidson
Irena Davidson: In 1995 Irena Czubek-Davidson graduated from the Cracow Academy of Music with special distinction, where she studied under prof. Bogumiły Lutak-Modrinic followed by postgraduate study specialising in chamber music. Irena has taken part in masterclasses with Susan Mildonian, III Harp Syphosium in Amsterdam and in the first conference I Harp Days in Warsaw.
From 1993 Irena occupied the position of Principal Harpist with the Świętokrzyska Philharmonic in Kielce and from 2000 she held the same post in the renowned Silesian Philharmonic in Katowice. Irena is the Principal Harpist in the Krakow Philharmonic, and Assistant Professor of Harp at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow. In February 2001 she was a co-organiser and soloist for the Krakow Harp Symposium. Irena frequently performs as a soloist and chamber musician in Poland and abroad. Her repertoire covers many historical periods.
