“Power Relations in Higher Music Education” – workshops with Gretchen Amussen
The Promotion and External Cooperation Office invites to a workshop entitled “Power Relations in Higher Music Education” with Gretchen Amussen, an expert in international cooperation and academic culture.
“On power relations, agency and the environment in which we want to work” is a series of workshops aimed at administrative and academic staff, doctoral students and students of the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow, devoted to reflection on power relations in higher education institutions. The event will create a space for dialogue on power relations in higher education institutions. The event will create a space for dialogue on how power structures affect everyday academic work, how to build a more inclusive environment, and how to initiate change together. The meeting is inspired by the international PRIHME project, which focused on equal treatment and agency in the academic environment.
The workshops will be held on November 21st and 22nd, 2025 in English, with translation into Polish. They will be interactive, based on group work and the exchange of experiences.
