Funeral ceremony of the late Prof. Krzysztof Penderecki

On 29 March 2022, in Kraków, the funeral ceremony of a national character will be held in connection with the transfer of the ashes of the late eminent Polish composer Prof. Krzysztof Penderecki to his place of eternal rest.

The Funeral Mass will be preceded by the display of the urn with the ashes at St Florian’s Church, after which, at 11 am, the procession will travel through the streets of Krakow to the place of the Funeral Mass, which will begin at 12 pm. The composer’s ashes will be placed in the National Pantheon crypt of Saints Peter and Paul Church.
