dr hab. Janusz Antonik
Janusz Antonik has been working for the Academy of Music in Krakow since 1985, first as associate lecturer, lecturer and now as assistant professor. In 2013, he received a Ph.D. degree in arts. Antonik studied in the clarinet class of Professor Stanisław Przystaś and participated in numerous music courses under the supervision of such masters as Andrzej Janicki, Guy Deplus and Guy Dangain. Gives concerts as a soloist and chamber music player. Took part in several festivals and music events, such as: Warsaw Autumn, Music in Old Krakow, Kolory Polski, Days of Grażyna Bacewicz, Days of Krakow Composers, Tyniec Organ Recitals, Modern National Schools (Krakow), Summer Concerts of Radio Krakow, Usedomer Musikfestival and Schubertiaden Sneckenburg (Germany). His accomplishments include Polish and international recordings and premières. Teaches several courses, offers classes and clarinet seminars, serves a jury member in competitions and auditions. He is the first clarinet player – soloist in the Karol Szymanowski Philharmonic in Krakow, with which he performed in a number of countries across Europe, USA, Canada, Japan and South Korea. Antonik cooperates with Sinfonia Varsovia and Beethoven Academy Orchestra.
