RULES AND REGULATIONS<\/strong><\/span>
\nOF THE 2nd INTERNATIONAL PIANO DUO COMPETITION “DUETTISSIMO”<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

KRAKOW, 8th-14th APRIL 2024<\/strong><\/p>\n

The goal of the Competition is to promote a piano duo, and Polish music, to improve the quality of performance of music for this chamber ensemble, to encourage exchange of experience between the Participants of the Competition and teachers, and to popularise musical works composed for a piano duo.<\/p>\n

\u00a71<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. The 2nd International Piano Duo Competition “Duettissimo”, hereinafter referred to as the Competition, is organised by the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow \u2013 the Department of Chamber Music in cooperation with the Foundation of the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music.
\n2. The Competition will be held from 8th to 14th April 2024.
\n3. The Competition auditions will take place in the Krystyna Moszuma\u0144ska-Nazar Concert Hall of the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow, at \u015awi\u0119tego Tomasza 43 (1st and 2nd stage) and in the Karol Szymanowski Philharmonic in Krakow at Zwierzyniecka 1 (3rd stage).<\/p>\n

\u00a72<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Applications shall be sent by the 11th February 2024, with a copy of the confirmation of payment of the entry fee to the following e-mail address:<\/p>\n

2. In order to enter the Competition, the following documents shall be sent by the 11th February 2024<\/strong>:
\n– a complete Application Form<\/strong><\/a> (available at the website of the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow in the 2nd International Piano Duo Competition tab), attached as the Appendix No. 1 to these Rules and Regulations,
\n– the entry fee<\/strong> in the following amount:<\/p>\n

1) for candidates with Polish citizenship<\/strong>
\n1st category PLN 400 per duo,
\n2nd category PLN 600 per duo,<\/p>\n

The payment shall be made to the following bank account:

\nwith a note: Duettissimo Competition<\/p>\n

2) for foreign candidates<\/strong>
\n1st category EUR 100 per duo,
\n2nd category EUR 200 per duo.<\/p>\n

The payment shall be made to the following bank account:

The confirmation of payment shall be sent to the following address: konkurs.duettissimo@amuz.krakow.pl with the complete Application Form.<\/p>\n

3. Costs of travel, accommodation and food shall be covered by the Participants themselves.<\/p>\n

\u00a73<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Candidates will be notified of being included in the list of Participants by e-mail by 11th March 2024<\/strong>. The conditions for qualification are: the correct completion of the Application Form, meeting the formal conditions, and sending the confirmation of payment of the entry fee. The formal verification will be carried out by the Organizer.<\/p>\n

2. The framework schedule of auditions is attached as the Appendix No. 2 to these Rules and Regulations. The organizer reserves the right to changes in the framework schedule. A detailed schedule of auditions will be placed on the website of the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow (www.amuz.krakow.pl) no later than 60 days before the beginning of the Competition.<\/p>\n

3. The Competition will be held in the following age categories:
\n1st category<\/strong> \u2013 the sum of ages of the duo members may not exceed 42 years (on the 8th April 2024),
\n2nd category<\/strong> \u2013 the sum of ages of the duo members may not exceed 70 years (on the 8th April 2024).<\/p>\n

4. Competition Participants are required to perform as follows:<\/p>\n
