DETAILED PROGRAMME REQUIREMENTS


Entrance examinations for the candidates who choose Voice Studies (bachelor’s degree).

Stage 1. the core subject examination – vocal: (to be performed from memory)

• a baroque aria (in Italian)
• a free-choice piece (from classical music repertoire – not popular music)

Stage 2. the core subject examination – vocal: (pieces other than those at stage 1, performed from memory)

• an opera aria or oratorio aria
• a song

the supplementary examination – a test of aptitude for acting:

• interpretation of a literary work: a poem or a prose fragment (performed from memory)
• performance of a given acting scene.

The presented vocal pieces performed from memory must be chosen only from the repertoire of classical music (not popular music).

Stage 3. The supplementary examination:

• a quick study exam
• preparing a designated vocal piece in a given period of time in a room with an available instrument (grand piano, upright piano) and presenting that piece with piano accompaniment.
