
INFORMATION
The 14-th Summer Academy of Music Kraków 2011 will take place between
August 27 - September 02 2012 at the Academy of Music in Kraków.
The following groups are eligible: students and graduates of academies of music, music school pupils and teachers working in music schools.
The Summer Academy programme includes courses of specific instruments, chamber music, vocal interpretation and composition. String and wind chamber music ensembles may apply for the courses conducted by educators of corresponding specialization (string or wind instruments).
The applicants may declare themselves as:
active participants
listeners
If there is a large number of applications submitted to any one course, the list of active participants will be established on the basis of an audition held on the first day of such course.
The candidates not qualified as active participants may apply for active participation in the course of another teacher (to the extent of available places) or accept the status of a listener; in which case the difference in the fee shall be refunded.
4 lessons (60 minutes each) shall be guaranteed for the active participants.
Each course will last 4 days minimum. The actual duration of the course shall depend on the number of enrolled students. The participants shall be notified by July 15th 2012.
The Organizers reserve the right to change the course dates and teachers.
The concerts of the best performers among the course participants will be held in the "Florianka" Recital Hall.

On 1 September, 2012, the participants of the Summer Academy who would like to compete for the prize will perform in Florianka Concert Hall, presenting a program of their choice. They will be judged by a Jury Panel consisting of the Academy teachers as well as invited guests.
Both soloists and chamber music ensembles are welcome to participate. The performance (20-45 minutes) must include at least one complete Opus by Johannes Brahms or Karol Szymanowski, the program can be complemented by other works of those two composers.
Laureates Concert will take place on the same day at 7 p.m.
Main Prize is 3000 PLN
